Like many artists, I enjoy finding the symbolism in my subject matter.  Animals are often symbolic of something.  “Big Fish” (symbolic of abundance) offered me the opportunity to work with a mass of stone full of hues and veins that add to the energy of the piece.  Or perhaps I’m reacting to our move to Westport, MA and our new proximity to the ocean.
